Shipyard is looking for a Sales Development Lead to generate top of funnel leads in addition to building foundational processes and strategies for the sales team. You will be selling directly to engineers and analytics leads, helping them understand the value that a modern data orchestration platform can bring to their data operations.

Since we are currently a small startup, you will be given the opportunity to make many of the decisions that affect the roadmap of our product.

This role is fully-remote in the US only.

What will you do as a Sales Development Lead at Shipyard?

  • Outreach directly to prospects that fit our ideal persona via cold emails, text, calls, integrated marketing campaigns, LinkedIn campaigns and other methods.
  • You'll research and craft personalized outreach to target accounts utilizing creative methods, channels, and strategies to help guide prospects to our platform.
  • Develop sales material (decks, one-sheeters, etc.) to help improve the sales cycle.
  • Lead initial sales calls to introduce our platform and gather information for a customized demo.
  • As the first member of our Sales team, you'll help define and improve sales processes, strategies, tactics, and more.
  • You will be tasked with a sales goal and be expected to execute against it on a quarterly basis.
  • Use common sales tools like Hubspot to keep track of leads and detail out call notes.
